A) Odds ratio (squares; values indicated for each quintile) and 95% confidence intervals
(vertical bars) for a male child for quintiles 2–5 of maternal serum PCB concentration
with the lowest quintile as the reference group. For PCB concentration as a continuous
variable, the downward trend was significant (p = 0.02). Adjustment was made for the
year of the child's birth, maternal and paternal age at the child's birth, the mother's
